Oatman Mining District

The Millennium Gold Property

Located in Oatman Mining District

  • The underexplored Millennium Gold Property is located 3 miles northeast of Lake Havasu City in Southwestern Arizona and is easily accessible by a combination of paved and gravel roads.
  • The property consists of 3 State mineral leases totaling 1,920 acres and is in the general vicinity of the Oatman mining district with over 2 million ounces of bonanza-grade gold and Equinox’s Cast Mountain open pit gold mine with historic production of 1.1 million ounces of gold.
  • The property hosts epithermal type gold-silver mineralization of economic interest in an area of Arizona and Nevada that is well known for its epithermal gold-silver and porphyry copper-molybdenum deposits.

Prior Activities

Previous surface rock sampling has discovered anomalous to ore grade gold mineralization over 10’s to hundreds of metres. The gold values range from 0.1 g/t to a high of 20 g/t over distances greater than 1000 metres. Details of the surface sampling have defined:

  • 1.43 g/t over 28 meters;
  • 1.5 g/t over 15.6 meters;
  • 1.9 g/t over 10 meters;
  • 2.0 g/t over 13.5 metres.

Westley Mining International in 1998 reported continuous panel samples in an east-west direction totaling 158.5 meters in length and averaging 0.97 g/t gold and 5.7 g/t silver. An intersecting north-south panel reported an interval totaling 140.2 meters in length averaging 1.12 g/t gold and 5.7 g/t silver. Five of eight drill holes within this window report gold mineralization, including 33 meters averaging 0.6 gpt gold.

(1) Results are from 1998, when Westley Mines International completed 2,500 feet of relatively close spaced drilling to test anomalous surface values, largely in intrusive rhyolite and andesite in the west central part of the property.
(2) All 8 holes are percussion drilling with assays based on 5 foot samples of drill cuttings.

Exploration Opportunity

Ready to Drill

Drill targets currently being identified and drilling is expected to commence in late 2020. Gold mineralization is strongest on the property in massive to brecciated rhyolite volcanic rocks however gold is also present in chlorite and hematite-altered andesite volcanic rocks as well. Gold values range from 0.2 g/t to 0.8 g/t in this unit.

Alteration related to gold mineralization can be traced for >1000 meters in a northwest-southeast direction in association with the higher grades associated with silicification, brecciation and stockwork development.

Discussions on permitting and water issues with the State of Arizona and Lake Havasu City have been historically met with no opposition to mine development.

Cultural and biological surveys are complete.
